Smelting method

The raw material for preparing metal titanium is mainly rutile, which contains more than 96% TiO2. Titanium compounds

The oxide of titanium is titanium dioxide, which is the highest valence oxide of titanium. Natural TiO2 is rutile, pure TiO2 is snow-white powder and is the best white pigment, commonly known as titanium dioxide, white when cold and light yellow when hot. Development history abroad

In 1940, Luxembourg scientist W.J.Kroll obtained pure titanium by reducing TiCl4 with magnesium.
