Application of Titanium Alloy

Smelting method

The raw material for preparing metal titanium is mainly rutile, which contains more than 96% TiO2. Countries that lack rutile ore, such as the Soviet Union, use "high-titanium slag" made of ilmenite, which contains about 90% TiO2. Due to the rising price of natural rutile and the decreasing reserves, all countries tend to use ilmenite to make titanium-rich materials, namely high-titanium slag and artificial rutile. Titanium was discovered in 1791, and the first pure titanium was made in 1910, more than a hundred years later. Titanium compounds

The oxide of titanium is titanium dioxide, which is the highest valence oxide of titanium. Natural TiO2 is rutile, pure TiO2 is snow-white powder and is the best white pigment, commonly known as titanium dioxide, white when cold and light yellow when hot. Development history abroad
